Sick of the sick already!

Well our weekend plans of making goodies for Izzy's class went right out the window. Saturday night he started to come down with what looked like a cold again, and by Sunday morning he was really sick. Monday was his birthday and he had been so excited about going to school on his birthday to be with his new friends. :( I was so sad for him that he was too sick to go. I was really proud of him though, he didn't let it bring him down! His spirits stayed high and we had a fun time regardless! He's finally starting to get better I think. We had a few of my husbands relatives over on Wed. night to celebrate. By bedtime I thought that he'd made great improvement, and he slept through the night just fine (first night since he got sick) but when I tried to wake him up he was really bad again. Now this afternoon he seems to be doing much better, I'm keeping my fingers crossed tight for my little guy. I caught it from him on Monday :( this is the worst sick I've been in a really long time. Then Reagan woke up last night around 2am with a raging fever. Mark says his throat is hurting now too, so it sounds like we all get to have a turn with this nasty bug!

So to cheer myself up the first day I started to feel icky, I downloaded a new kit from Nicole! That worked wonders LOL! It's being released today at both of her stores, The Digichick and her Sugarplum Paperie Store! It's called Calico Harvest, here are some previews!

Can you see why it cheered me up so much! It's so gorgeous! The alpha is killer too, I can't get enough of her alphas! I loved the word strip that says "a beautiful day" so that's where I went with it when I started to scrap. I thought of the visit we took out to Columbus in January to visit my friend Marci. We went to the COSI Center while we were there, and we had so much fun. Marci took some really great shots of the girls as they played on some big benches underneath these giant windows. They are such cool pics! I used one to scrap my first page with Calico Harvest...

I FINALLY finished the journaling on that second LO from the Studio Flergs grab bag I told you about a few posts back. I thought I'd post it to show you why I hate journaling so much LOL. I never can just do anything simple can I? LOL!

That story is just too much. We seriously say "Skwerl" all the time now because of him. When I realized it has been a year now since he said it, I HAD to do a LO about it. Oh and Megs adding "Skwerls" to her grab bag just made me HAVE to do it even more don't ya think?? HAHAHAHAHAH! I love that! They're so cute! Did you see the new banner on the top of my blog??? Keep your diaper on!

Seriously!  I NEVER had this problem with Izzy.  How do you stop them from ripping it off all the time?  I don't want to keep her in onesies all the time, and she's even starting to unsnap those anyway lol.  I am so frustrated because it's instant!  I fasten one side and she rips that open before I can even fasten the other side.   Any advice?  I'm all ears... I wonder how many duct tape comments I'll hear LOL!  Reagan HAS given me a few laughs doing this too though.  Thursday Izzy got a new ruler... (don't ask why, all I know is he HAD to have one!) and he was being such a turd with it.  He was taunting Goo with it for hours.  Now she's the type that instead of a tantrum and crying... she already just gets right to kicking his ass.  Seriously.  That's how she got one of her many nicknames The Hulk.  She's a bully, it's not pretty but we're working on it lol.  So after hours of dealing with his annoying ruler and all of the teasing he was throwing her way, she'd had enough of it.  We ate dinner and after as I got her out of her high chair, he asked if he could go upstairs with Grandma and Grandpa.  I told him yes, but that the ruler had to stay downstairs with me.  I could only imagine him whipping G'ma with it...oh man!  LOL.  Anyway, I clean Goo up and take her clothes off (she was a mess so it was jammie time!) and change her diaper.  I walk over to the trash and throw out the dirty one, just to turn around and find her standing there buck naked.  This was the first time she had done this new trick LOL.  I look at her and she giggles like crazy, and I say "What did you do with your diaper silly!?  What are you doing naked??"  Then she did a goofy shuffle kind of dance and looked around the room.  She spies that stupid ruler and hauls ass over to it.  I ask her "What are you going to do with it?  It's Izzy's so be nice and don't hide it on him!"  (she's notorious for hiding things like an expert... so many binkies have NEVER been heard from again!)  So anyway, she drops it down on the floor and hurdles it... and then gets the most serious look I've ever seen her have on her face!  I think "uh oh" and "hahahahah" both at the same time and don't quite know how to react lol.  Before I could do anything, she pee' d on it!!!!  How's that for revenge?!  OMG, I laughed SO HARD for so long that I almost wet my pants!!!  I can't believe she was THAT mad that she went looking for it just to pee on it!  Later on Izzy comes down and asks why I was laughing so hard.  I just looked at him and tried not to again.  He then asks "Where's my ruler?" and I couldn't contain it and burst out laughing again.  He says "Where is it!?  Why are you laughing!?" and I told him it was in the sink and that I have to wash it because Reagan pee' d on it.  His little hands go to his hips and he shouts "HEY!  That's very mean skwerl of you!  That's not funny at all!  Why did you pee on it!?"  and she just ran up and hugged him and all was forgiven LOL.  Her hugs fix everything for him, I love watching the two of them together like that.  He's always holding her hand and walking her around the house and she's always hugging on him.  So cute when they're not being mean to each other. 

So this week my stalker friend Alice is hosting the CT challenge on the Sugarplum Paperie blog.  She's left for college this week (bigger girl, I'm so proud of her!! :) I just adore her! ) so she is doing a challenge focused on "New Beginnings".  I am going to do one of Izzy's first day of school!  I only got 1 picture of him that even turned out ok... it really bums me out actually.  I guess I should just be happy that I even got the 1 right!?  Annnnyway, you should come over to Nicole's blog and join us this week!  We have so much fun doing these challenges together and it's such great inspiration!

Isn't it perfect for this time of year?  It made me fall right into all of my memories from this time of year.  So I scrapped a page about one of my two favorite beginning of Autumn memories... which is the birthday of my daughter!  She is going to be 2 very soon, and I have been thinking a lot about how much she's changed since she was born!  So I decided to take a walk through the picture stash and do a little collage of them :D  Here's what I came up with...

I love how it turned out, but I am a bit mad at myself!  Have you ever had that feeling something is missing but you can't put your finger on it?  I felt like that through this WHOLE LO!  I couldn't figure it out, and so when I was happy with how it looked I happily resized it and submitted it.  THEN and of course ONLY right after I post it do I realize what I was missing... A pic of her at 2 DAYS old!  ARGH!  What a tool, I hate that I'm so forgetful lately!!!  What happened to me!?  I used to remember everything, but nope not anymore.

Phew! The weekend!

Oh I don't know where to start, it's been too long again since I've posted. I planned on posting many times during the week, but just couldn't get to it! We all got sick and that has made it a lot harder to function than usual. Izzy started school too, they cancelled the first 2 days of the week due to power outages from the storm. That was actually a blessing in disguise though because it gave us another day or two of taking it easy so we could get better faster. For some reason I'm the only one that can't kick this nasty bug. Probably because I don't ever get to rest or just get babied due to the fact that it's my job to take care of them LOL. Gotta love it! I will say though, DH tries his hardest to baby me and let me rest. It's not his fault at all, it's just impossible to sleep in a zoo LOL. Well it looks like school took off wonderfully with Izzy, he's having so much fun and is so happy! YAY! He needed the interaction with other kids so much, I'm so relieved that he likes it. He just plowed right into the place too, no holding back! It was so cute, he walks in and up to a group of kids and you hear over and over "Hi, my name is Isaac what's your name?" I don't think any of the kids even had a chance to reply before he was asking the next one LOL! I just love him! Monday is his birthday, I can't believe how fast the time has gone. I still feel like he's my baby too... I have some serious big boy denial! I can't get used to the idea of him being 5. WOW... and Reagan being 2 in a few weeks too?! OMG, I really can't wrap my mind around it! This weekend we're going to make some fun plans to make some treats for his class for Monday! I am nervous to see what he has in that little mind of his after last years hideous cake LOL!! No way am I taking something like that to school LOL. Last year he asked me to make a chocolate cake, with green frosting, green Jell-O, chocolate pudding, and teddy grahams! LOLOL! I did it too, and it looked so nasty. Oddly enough though it was really good and was eaten by most instead of the store bought cake we grabbed out of embarrassment on the way there LOL. I made little jell-o volacanos, with pudding lava, and the poor unfortunate teddy grahams were being whisked away by the rivers of lava LOLOL... totally redonkulous! Seriously, look at this thing...


I'm a baker/cake decorator outside of my little digiscrap world here... and I tell ya that was the most interesting thing I've made to date LOL!

I've been trying to scrap my heart out while he's been in school. DH is home during the day so he hangs out with Goo and let's me have time to get some stuff done. Which hopefully will get me caught up soon! Being sick put an already behind Nett, all the way to the back of the class LOL. Lookie what I've been scrapping with though, squeeeeeeeeeee! First I started with Monica's newest Kiss and Tell! OMG the colors in this kit just knock me down! Here's the preview in case you haven't seen it yet...

This was so much fun to play with too! I have 2 LOs finished with it already LOL, I'm only going to show you one because I haven't quite finished up the journaling (journaling is EVIL and it hates me!) on the second one yet! Here's the first one though!


She also had another new kit come out earlier in the week that was just beautiful! It is a collab with Birgit Kerr, and is called Autumn Glory.

For this one I HAD to once again sneak into my friend Marci's stash of pics. Last year she took the most amazing pictures of her daughter Maelle in the fall (which you've already seen an example of a few posts down LOL.) and I just needed an excuse to scrap them! This kit was perfect for them.




Isn't she just the cutest and sweetest thing!? I'm so glad I have Marci to run to for those sweet baby girl pics since Goo doesn't like to give me too many of those moments LMAO!! I have another one with Maelle for another new surprise by Megs that is coming out NEXT Friday... and that one is a killer too!!


Next up is another HUGE event... one that I probably should give it's own damn post! LOL, it's insane and I spent this whole week chasing after Kim like a puppy trying to keep up with her! I'm serious, she worked it and worked it HARD LOL! This month Kim (whom I LOVE dearly!!) and her wonderful hubby Wayne will celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary!!! YAY!! Congrats you two!!! So to share the party with you she has come up with a really fun way to do her grab bag this month! He said my favorite word is WHAT?!

Wow, over a week again since I've posted. Not really a shock to me though lol, I've had so much going on I haven't had time to even stop and think! The biggest has been getting ready for Izzy to start preschool! WAAAAHHHH!!! I can't believe he's going to be going to school already. I mean he's smarter than I am already... and I know preschool should've started LAST year, but I'm still not ready for it! On Monday we went to see the school and meet the teacher etc. and it all went so great! He'll be going what THEY call a half day and I call eternity lol (seriously it's a 6 hour day!)... but it is going to be so good for him! He was so upset after the meeting, he thought he was going to stay that day. He didn't like the idea of leaving with us lol. Such a change from last year... before if we'd mention school he'd ask if we'd go for the day with him. If I tried to explain that I wouldn't be there everyday with him... but that I plan on volunteering in the class room often, he'd have a meltdown! He did't want to go anywhere without me. Now he's about ready to ask for the keys to the car so he can drive himself to get the heck out of here! Can't say I blame him there though lol, I'd like to do the same sometimes! Of course it's usually his mouth that puts me in that frame of mind :) I am just cringing just thinking about what kind of gems he'll give his teacher in school! OMG, he got me the other day! It was mortifying! My Sister In Law and 2 Nieces were sitting here with us visiting. She was talking about how she has been ignoring things lately and not putting much effort into caring about anything. She says that the main thing she says is "I don't care" complete with shoulder shrug and all. I said that I could relate a bit and that I have caught myself shrugging things off lately too and saying... (and then I remembered how Izzy had been repeating it all day that day and it was silly because he would use it out of context). So I said "Izzy, tell them what Mommy's favorite word has been lately!" Thinking he'd now repeat my overused annoying version of "Meh." in the wrong way again. Instead everyone looks at him and waits, just to hear him YELL the most horrifying thing to my ears... "PENIS!" Yep, he for some reason told the family that I walk around all day saying "PENIS!"!!!!! WTF?!!?!?! OMG the house erupted in laughter and he looked so proud of himself LOLOL. I asked when it quieted down.. why he said it. He just said "Because it is funny Mommy!" Uh Oh... wonder who he got THAT trait from?! BWHAHAHAHAHA! OK, how about some scrappity goodness today?! Let's see what we've got going on...

This week was the "Not so happy Journaling Challenge!" and let me tell you, I suck at journaling and these girls are so wonderful at giving me inspiration to get going with it! Here's the LO I did for the challenge featured one pissed off Goo telling me to "Shhhhh!" after being assaulted with pigtails LOLOL! She always would tell me "Shhhh!" when she would get upset... her way of telling me to back off (I would consider it a warning LOL!).

I love it, it's adorable. I used it to scrap one of those pics I've been staring at and whimpering because my babies aren't babies anymore LOL... that damn preschool thing has me messed up I tell you!


Nicole had asked if he was really sleeping because of his smile in that pic... I swear to you he is LOL. He's just THAT much of a stinker that he sleeps with a shit eating grin on his face hahahahaha!

I don't get it, it doesn't make any sense LOL... but I love how pretty it turned out! It was featured last week in the Gallery Standouts at DST and it was Layout Of The Day at SUN too! My head was spinning I was so honored!! WOO HOO!


It's so funny to me how a cluttered pic of toys and a dirty mirror can turn into something so different like that. I love digi LOLOL!!! Cleans up my messy house and no one will know the difference tee hee. Like I said before, those are the reasons I love extractions so much LOLOL!
